Job Description:

General Purpose:
The HR Intern provides quality HR compliance and administrative support on a part-time basis to the HR department. Interns are responsible for delivering assistance and administrative support to HR business partners and consultants on various projects.
Essential Functions:
• HR administrative support
o Check HR “hotline” voicemail and deliver any messages
o Check HR inbox and forward messages as appropriate
o Sort and distribute daily mail
o Maintain employee payroll files
o Assist with maintaining Sharepoint site, ensuring updated files, including project reports, job descriptions, etc.
o Assist with proofreading HR documents including audits, handouts, and handbooks.
• Support recruiting process
o Post new positions as requested on internal and external sites
o Sort incoming resumes and forward as appropriate
o Coordinate candidate interviews, and drug screens
o Coordinate administration of background checks and maintenance of results
o Maintain recruitment report
• Adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned or required; may work within other departments when needed

Required Skills/Experience: |
• Active pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people
• Proficient in English: both written and verbal combined with very strong communication skills
• Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
• Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team oriented environment.
• Detail oriented
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
