Job Description:

The Visitor Programs department in our Baltimore venue is looking to fill a supplemental Visitor Programs Interpretive Aide position. This position presents visitor education programs which include discovery cart interpretations, public presentations, classroom instruction and interactive learning.

Responsibilities for this position include enthusiastically engaging visitors in conversation, presenting interactive programming and public presentations and maintaining equipment for use in galleries and classrooms. Visitor Programs Interpretive Aides must provide exceptional customer service daily to staff and visitors and be willing to partner with Visitor Programs Coordinators and Interpretive Specialists as necessary.

Required Skills/Experience:

College course work in science or education or equivalent experience is preferred along with informal teaching experience. Strong public speaking and presentation skills are desired and an energetic personality is required. Flexibility in hours including weekends, holidays and early/late hours is necessary.
